(CNN Student News) -- Students will learn about the history of the AIDS pandemic and the status of AIDS in the United States. Students will create ways to inform various demographic groups in the U.S. about the risk of HIV/AIDS.


Procedure
Inform students that December 1 is World AIDS Day. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services notes that since 1981, when AIDS was first identified in the U.S., more than 25 million people worldwide have died from the disease. Today, more than 30 million people worldwide are estimated to be living with HIV or AIDS. In the United States alone, an estimated 1,039,000 to 1,185,000 Americans are now living with HIV, and 35,000 to 40,000 new infections are occurring every year.
Next, refer student groups to the online resources provided to learn more about AIDS, the history of the AIDS pandemic and the status of this disease in the United States. Provide the following questions to guide the groups' research:

1. What is HIV? How is it different from "full-blown" AIDS? How is HIV spread? How does it affect the human body? 2. What are some ways in which individuals can protect themselves from contracting HIV? 3. What groups of people are at the greatest risk for contracting HIV in the U.S.? How have the demographics of those at risk for contracting HIV changed over the past two decades?

Then, assign each student group one of the following U.S. demographic groups that are at risk for contracting HIV: teens, Hispanics, African-Americans, women, health care professionals, drug users and homosexuals. Challenge student groups to act as CDC AIDS awareness committees for your state, and to devise strategies for informing their assigned demographic groups about the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. Direct each group to identify and research some of the problems that are associated with the prevention and treatment of HIV in its demographic. Then, ask each group to brainstorm a list of practical strategies aimed at stopping the AIDS epidemic in its assigned demographic group. Using the information gathered, instruct each group to create informational materials that it thinks would best target and inform its assigned demographic.
As groups present their HIV/AIDS information, ask them to discuss their choice of format, language used and information emphasized in their materials. Ask students to compare the similarities and differences in the student-created materials. Ask: Which materials do you think are best suited for each of the groups?

People live near my home has worked on their house for several months.They make a lot of noise every day, and now I just can't stand it......
In my home, my mother keeps talking on the phone one after one, and her loudvoice also makes me crasy!Every day I am surrounded by a lot of noise, and I don't know when it canbecome a little quieter.

Loneliness, the enemy, is like a virus.
A computer with a virus can still run when you are lucky,
but can go wrong at any time.
When it bursts, I behave as there is something wrong,
while I have something to do but idling or just going the wrong direction.
A computer know what happened and have no idea but showing it on the screen,
(if it was, luckily, installed with the sucking anti-virus software)
When I feel lonely, it seems that nothing cures, although maybe
something merely relieves.
The heart wants relief, but the brain says the sweet brings nothing but
further thirsty.
That's like you are not hungry but eager to grab something into mouth.
After all, I need something to suck?

Honesty, I have to congratulate someone who has stable relationship withtheir lover. They trust each other tremendously so much that could evenlet one of them think about their future.But sometimes, it’s just your own wishful thinking.

We are all implanted a thought that women should sacrifice for their men.Some people gave up their valuable chances to marry a man, or some of themmade a compromise to confront to their boyfriends’ standard.However, have you ever thought about when they sacrifice for you withoutyour demanding? When they really give up something because of you?I can’t say there is none. But who can provide an example?

Maybe you will realize something after getting hurt.There is why some people refuse to fall in love anymore.They are the real group, which have the right to say that becausethey have experienced the heaven therefore they could tell how it tastesin the hell. Take myself as an example. I once regarded my relationship asthe most treasure thing on the world. I devoted myself to the relationshipso deeply that I couldn’t remember the man, I am dating is just ordinary.I was attractive by his honesty, but people lie and they change.My fairy tale was shattered. There is no happy ending in my story anymore. Or maybe we should put it in this way, I got a new definition of happy ending.

I remember my mother always says ‘’ Trust no one but yourself.’’Is it pathetic? Yes, it is. But everyone should keep them in mind unlessthey will never marry a wrong guy.After getting hurt, I am happy because I know my mother is right.I should not waste too much time on men. Yet I should invest myselfand open as many doors for me as possible. The skill you obtain is real,the success you achieve is real. The prince only exits in the fairy tale.This is ruthless, but that’s how the world works.
The purpose of this article is actually not telling you not to love,but love carefully. Leaving some space and time for each other is wise.Besides, you will find you have anything when you spread your hands.Try to remember there are other possibilities for you apart from the fairy tale.

Why everyone always ask "Why?"

I just do not want to tell you things.
The fact is:
When I ask someone "do u have time tomorrow afternoon?"
They always say "for what?"
Until I told the reason(where,what thing),
they just say "sorry! I can't go with you."
Actually, I really do not want tell them the reason.
Of course, I still told them the reason.
But I hate this attitude. (I think they are too "雞婆")
Since you can't, why are u ask so many things?????
I never asked why when other people do the same things to me.
I just can't stand this behavior.
Unfortunately, almost everybody always do the thing.

learning somrthing

I am always excited about learning new things, from the basic.
Fundamental is the most concept and i loved to be a newbie.
I can try many different ways to see how they should be doneand escape the tradition ones.
They are not like routine which makes me feel bored.
Sadly i just have little time to try freshing thingsbecause i have lots of works to do.

problem = =

I fall in a serious problem that is I watch too much CSI.
In the recently weeks, I saw about 1 hour CSI everyday.
I love it but it cause me some problem. For example,
I dreamt some corpses lie on the bed (somewhere not mine)
or I dreamt that someone want to kill other one.
I know that only a nightmare but it still make me feel uncomfortable.
Should I stop to watch CSI. I do not want to stop watch it.
I totally understand all the corpses in the CSI are live person.
They are just a actor or actress.
